South Fans are sharing their thoughts about the show’s new biweekly schedule, which has been confirmed following the release date for the next new episode, which will be in two weeks
South Park has been delighting fans who are critical of the current political climate with its ruthless jokes it has been getting away with during the new seasonbut those same fans are getting annoyed by the shows delays on new episodes.
The comedy central series has been roasting the current administration throughout its episodes thus far, targeting President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and others.
This has also included jokes that mock the Presidents manhood as they lob attacks. And while fans have been delighted by the jokes, they are finding themselves frustratedas the show is continuously taking time off between episodes.
This includes the next new episode, which will air two weeks after the most recent one.
One fan took to Reddit to question the move, which has already happened before in the new season.
I just got done reading this article and at the end it says South Park will return on September 3rd. Does anyone know if this is going to be the new norm? Im more or less just curious, not that it makes a difference for me, they wrote.
While fans are annoyed by the move, many quickly commented on the post, indicating that the move was something being dictated by parent company Paramount.
Yes the commercial in the middle of the episode said return September 3rd. This week confirmed that this season will be biweekly as there wasnt any reason for it to be biweekly this time. Many assume that Paramount is the one making this decision, one person said.
Others claimed it was a move to extend subscriptions to the Paramount+ streaming service.
Paramount+ is desperately extending the season so that they can retain the subscribers as long as possible, one person wrote.
Paramount wants you subscribed longer. Good thing we have the high seas, another added.
Others also praised the move, whether it was motivated by Paramount or creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, saying it gave the episodes more time to be properly fleshed out.
I figured as such. Tbh i think its a good idea, just means they can be more topical with including 2 wrecks worth or real world events instead of just one, one person commented.

100%. I will take a well thought out and produced episode rather than something rushed. There are many episodes in the past that I thought could of been much better if they had time to flush out all of the ideas and jokes. Making an episode from scratch in a week is really hard. Especially when its really just 2 people driving so many of the decisions, a third added.
