Pop princess Sabrina Carpenter has just amped up the excitement by expanding her Short n’ Sweet tour, with her sharing the news in an Instagram post on Friday (February 28).
Yet, the update seemed to stir up a bit of a storm among her followers, with some voicing their discontent and laying out a clear request to the 25-year old songstress. The Espresso hitmaker is set to dazzle Dublin audiences next week, kicking off her eagerly awaited European tour dates.
UK Sabrina Carpenter fans can catch her live starting June 6, as she graces the stage at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena, followed by performances in London, Glasgow, and Manchester. In the meantime, Sabrina is slated to light up tonight’s (March 1) The BRIT Awards 2025 with Mastercard show, where she’s not only performing but also receiving the illustrious Global Success award. Her big reveal included an extra dozen shows – all in North America.
“You asked and we listened!” she exclaimed in her post. “So excited to announce an additional leg of the Short n’ Sweet Tour – coming back to a few select cities this fall! New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, Toronto and Pittsburgh (for taxes) with special guests Olivia Dean, Ravyn Lenae and Amber Mark. Can’t wait to see you all for one last short n’ sweet hurrah and Europe see you in just a few days.”
While her American fanbase rejoiced, Australian admirers were left hanging, still yearning for Sabrina to headline her own show Down Under. Despite having warmed up the stage for Taylor Swift during the Eras Tour in Australia last year, a solo Sabrina concert remains a wishful thought for her Aussie fans.
They voiced their disappointment over the new tour destinations, with one Instagram user declaring: “We need Australia, not another America leg.” Another questioned: “But where are the Australian dates girl?” The discontent continued, with a third expressing: “AUSTRALIA SABRINA YOU PROMISED.”
A fourth person was left: “Sabrina please come to Melbourne I’m begging.” Meanwhile, a fifth recounted their anti-climax: “I thought this was gonna be Australia and almost lost the plot.”
